Once again we find ourselves to have reached that time of year. The time of year where traditions rule and dictate, where we gather with our loved ones to celebrate like we did last year and the year before that.
Well....
Not for my part, that is. This year I spent Christmas in my apartment in Sweden. Luckily I did have a loved one, Diana, my IB-friend, and we attempted to let traditions rule and dictate.. I've had an amazing Christmas. We ate a fantastisk danish christmas dinner, made our own homemade christmas candy, listened to christmas-songs and Diana even created a tiny little christmas-tree using two green potholders and a cookie shaped as a star.
Although the dinner took time (and ingredients that weren't supposed to be in the sauce somehow ended in the sauce), the candy weren't the usual and boring kind, the christmas songs were a mixture of danish, swedish, the obligatory "feliz navidad" & english, and the christmas tree was.. well.. quite alternative, we somehow managed to pull off an incredible christmas!!
I wonder what next year brings...
